What is Agnipath Yojana?

All three services will be enrolled through a centralized online system, including specific assemblies and campus interviews conducted by accredited technical colleges such as the Industrial Training Institute and the National Skills Qualification Framework, among others. Enrollment will be on an ‘All India All Class’ basis, ranging in age from 17.5 to 21 years. Firefighters will meet the medical requirements for enlistment in the Armed Forces as they apply to their specific department / trade. The educational qualifications of firefighters will continue to be popular for enrollment in many categories, such as: The educational requirement for becoming a General Duty (GD) soldier is Class 10.

What is the salary package under this scheme?
After the release of the 1st year salary package up to Rs 4.76 lakh and the 4th year up to Rs 6.92 lakh, the service fund package is approx. 11.71 lakh, inclusive of interest (tax free) also has a non-subsidized insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakh. If individuals receive a firefighter’s skills certificate that will help with job opportunities after release.

Yes, girls under the given age are open to fire, although there are no reservations for women under this scheme.

What are the terms of service under Agnipath?
After four years of service, 25% of firefighters will be placed in regular cadre on the basis of merit, will and medical fitness. After that they will serve for another 15 full years. The other 75% of firefighters will be inactivated with an exit or “service fund” package of Rs 11-12 lakh, partly funded by their monthly contribution, as well as a certificate of competency and a bank loan to help them in their second career.
